Position Description

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for researching, coordinating, and tracking Statewide Traffic Safety & Signs bid opportunities for the portfolio of products, rentals and services. This position is an active, hands-on role, covering all of California and focusing on supporting the sales team, ensuring all potential RFQ’s are reported timely. reviewing bid opportunities with the Sales Manager and routing to the appropriate Account Manager or Inside Sales team member. tracking and analyzing bid results, reporting on a monthly basis. This position directly reports to the Sales Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Search, review and download Bid / RFQ information for current opportunities, via internet sites • Maintain current registration and search criteria with all bid resources sites • Communicate bidding opportunities to the appropriate Account Manager in all STSSI markets • Assist the sales team building online quotes, sending out quotes, and tracking bid results • Consult with Sales Manager on bidding strategies, pricing and bid results analysis • Track and organize bidding activity for monthly reporting • Assist with any other sales related tasks and other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Outside sales and marketing experience a plus • Must understand drawings/blue prints • 2 - 5 years proven success in construction, traffic control or infrastructure industries • Strong presentation and communication skills • Strong mathematical skills, algebra, geometry and simple math • Must be results-driven, work independently and have a positive attitude • High energy and self-motivated • Team focused and supporting company strategies • Strong computer skills including but not limited to, complete competency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook • Bilingual a plus We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, who fully and actively supports equal access for employees or qualified applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability status, Genetic Information or Testing, Family & Medical Leave, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law, and prohibits retaliation against individuals who bring forth any complaint, orally or in writing, to the employer or the government, or against any individuals who assist or participate in the investigation of any complaint, or otherwise oppose discrimination.
