Position Description

Customer Service Clerk Statewide Traffic Safety & Signs, is a recognized leader in traffic control and safety products. We have a solid record of growth, operational excellence and profitability. We currently have a great opportunity for a Customer Service Clerk, in a fast-paced environment in our San Jose Branch Requirements: • The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience preferred, which may include retail sales, cashier, and general office. • Ability to handle phone calls with accuracy and excellent communication • Enjoys working with customers and strives to make every customer experience a memorable one. • Has the ability to make our customers feel as if they are a guest, while truly listening to their needs, while driving business results for the company. • Any experience in construction or traffic control products is a plus. • Strong organizational skills required. • Cash handling experience required. • Has basic understanding of register closing responsibilities, and deposit preparation duties. • Has the ability to properly count change back to the customer. • Responsible for loss prevention, cash management. • Strives to develop product knowledge. • Strong history of reliability, and excellent attendance record. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. • Ability to resolve difficult customer issues with minimal assistance. • Ability to make sound decisions. • Able to adapt to shifting needs of the business. • Ability to meet deadlines. • High school diploma or state equivalency required. • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
